Amanda Hindlian is a former Partner and Global Chief Operating Officer of Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs and is widely considered to be a thought leader in her field. She was also President of the firm’s think tank, The Global Markets Institute.
During her tenure at Goldman Sachs, Amanda held many influential roles. She served in the Executive Office, working alongside the firm's senior management, including the Chairman and CEO. She was also Secretary to the Management Committee and led the Client Strategy Group within the Office of the Chairman. With her deep operational expertise, Amanda also oversaw a range of business functions as Chief Operating Officer of Global Investment Research, notably technology, digital strategy, and legal and compliance matters. During a time of rapid evolution, she developed and executed strategies to guide the firm through changes in regulatory frameworks and led internal and external communications outlining the need for the firm's adaptation to the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
As President of the firm’s think tank, Amanda was a leader in researching, writing and presenting on regulatory reforms in financial markets. She continued to use these talents to author papers on various topics, including ‘Closing the Gender Gaps: Advancing Women in Corporate America’ and ‘Taking the Heat: Making Cities Resilient to Climate Change’. Amanda is also passionate about supporting women in business and discussed venture capital funding for female entrepreneurs in the article titled ‘Advancing Women Entrepreneurs’. She has been frequently featured as a thought leader in exchanges with the firm’s clients and has been lauded for her public speaking skills. Amanda has been featured in interviews with CNBC, Bloomberg, and Apple Podcasts, as well as leading financial and business publications.
Amanda graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Economics and Spanish from Wellesley College.
