Roger Devlin is Chairman of Persimmon plc and also serves as Chairman of William Hill. He was previously Chairman of Marston's plc, Satellite Information Services (sports media), Gamesys and Porthaven Care Homes. Roger was also appointed the first Independent Non-Executive Director by the Football Association.

Prior appointments have included National Express and various private equity Chairmanships: Venere (Advent, sold to Expedia), Traveljigsaw (Isis, sold to Priceline) and Principal Hotels (Permira, sold to Starwood).

Roger chairs the Business Committee of the R&A and is a member of the Racehorse Owners Association.
