Terakeet engaged with President Obama in 2008 and 2012, acting in the role of exclusive provider of search engine optimization to the campaign and helping the president secure his first and second terms.
Mac supports the Syracuse community through Terakeet's commitment to several charitable organizations. These include Cause for the Cuse, founded by Terakeet employees to provide school supplies for children, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which aims to find a cure for blood cancer. He was also the youngest member to serve on the Cornell Entrepreneurship Board and the CenterState CEO Board, and is a founding shareholder of US Beverage Net and an investor in The Water Initiative, as well as several early-stage growth companies.
He graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations. It was also at Cornell where he first embraced his entrepreneurial side and founded Mindshark Software from his dorm room, with early clients including Forbes and General Electric.
