Petar Cvetkovic is Founder & Chairman of Welford Investments, which specialises in equity holdings, growth companies, ownership of freehold commercial properties and advisory work.
Petar is a former Times Business big shot and the recipient of the Business Turnaround Professional of the Year Award, from the Institute for Turnaround, which he achieved in 2014 for his business leadership. He was cited for these awards for his exceptional performance, a strong moral compass and innovation; attributes that have defined his working life. He has built a reputation for being a customer facing executive, with a proven history of driving strategic growth and improving companies’ profits and fortunes, over the course of his 36-year career. He has led some of the UK’s best-known logistics firms, working in parcels, contract and shared-user distribution as well as supply chain & international logistics.
Petar was part of the Founding team behind the internationally recognised fashion retailer, boohoo, where he remains as a Non-Executive Director. Petar has also acted as a Non-Executive Director for Crawford Healthcare and is currently the Chairman at the Individual Protection Service, IPS. A fan and sponsor of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, Petar supports The Matt Hampson Foundation and is a Patron of the Footprints Foundation, which aims to help vulnerable young and elderly people. His charitable work also includes raising money for The Christie and Prostate Cancer UK.
