Liran’s Biography

Liran Assness is a South African entrepreneur and business leader, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of The Sekta Group, a specialised industrial services company operating across the energy, petrochemical, oil & gas, and mining sectors throughout Southern Africa.

Liran began his professional career as a commodities trader, an industry in which he remains actively involved. Drawing on his commercial acumen and operational expertise, he led the strategic acquisition and integration of multiple industrial businesses, forming what is today The Sekta Group - a diversified platform delivering specialised engineering and industrial solutions to critical infrastructure sectors.

In addition to his role at Sekta, Liran is a co-founder of Tabono, an investment firm focused on building and supporting profitable businesses in targeted sectors including specialised engineering, construction, resources, industrial services, and logistics. Through Tabono, he partners with management teams to scale high-potential enterprises and create long-term value.
