Biography

Jonathan Davies is largely regarded as one of the greatest players in the storied history of Welsh rugby. Throughout an illustrious career, he represented several high-flying clubs, displaying supreme versatility in converting from rugby union to rugby league, proving equally adept in both codes.

Along with considerable success at club level, Davies also competed internationally, serving as captain for both Wales and Great Britain, in rugby union and league respectively.

Upon the climax of his playing career, he seamlessly transitioned into a life beyond the field and has gone onto establish himself as a hugely respected broadcasting personality. Offering expert insight and astute analysis, Davies regularly appears on set during the BBC’s rugby coverage.

Not limited to his television duties, Jonathan is also a prominent businessman, boasting a proven track record in business development. Driven and committed, his career spans more than 25 years, truly embellishing his prowess as a savvy professional in the business spectrum. In addition to orchestrating business development at Smart Solutions, Davies also works at Andrew Scott, providing consultation to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. on business growth matters.

Jonathan is experienced in non-executive and ambassadorial roles that he leverages in order to increase awareness for brands. The renowned companies which he currently represents include British Telecom, Lloyds Banking Group, Heineken, Guinness and HSBC.

Committed to giving back, Jonathan is the President of Fundraising at Velindre Cancer Centre and has raised a staggering £33 million. He was awarded an OBE in 2015 for his exemplary services to charity.
