John Picerne is the award-winning Founder of Corvias, a group of companies providing real estate solutions across military, educational, and municipal sectors, through public-private partnerships.

A seasoned real estate executive, John has over three decades of industry experience. Having grown up immersed in his family’s real estate development business, he gained valuable insights into property management and construction from an early age.

John founded Picerne Military Housing (now Corvias) in 1998, motivated by the need to enhance housing conditions for U.S. service members. Under his leadership, the company managed thousands of military homes across the nation. John expanded Corvias’ operations into higher education by establishing Corvias Campus Living and secured a public‑private partnership with the University System of Georgia in 2012. He also introduced Corvias Solutions to provide infrastructure services (like addressing stormwater management) for public‑sector clients.

John serves as Chairman of the Corvias Group’s Board of Advisors, where he continues to contribute to the firm’s public-private partnership strategies aimed at addressing deferred maintenance, housing, and infrastructure challenges.

John has been recognized for his achievements, receiving honors such as the ‘Excellence in Individual Leadership Award’ from the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships, the 'Commander’s Award for Public Service' from the Department of the Army as well as the 'Annual Senator John H.
