James Pinto is Managing Director of MVC Private Equity Fund L.P. MVC Private Equity Fund L.P. provides debt and equity financing to small and middle-market companies in a range of industries. Since 2010, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of MVC GP II, LLC, the MVC Private Equity Fund’s General Partner.

James previously served as the President of PFG, Inc., a firm that focused on private equity and debt investments. He also served as a General Partner of Grace-Pinto LP, an activist fund formed in 1987 that served clients in Canada, the US, and the UK.
