Ian’s Biography

Ian Rosenblatt OBE is a distinguished lawyer and leading philanthropist in the field of music. He is Executive Vice Chair of the listed legal services group, RBG Holdings plc and Founder of the City law firm, Rosenblatt Solicitors, where he specialises in Dispute Resolution and Corporate work.

Ian has extensive experience in critical court applications, injunctions and ancillary remedies and has worked on a spectrum of commercial matters including shareholder disputes, defamation, breach of trust and duty as well as securities litigation and litigation strategies in corporate takeovers. His clients include executives, listed companies as well as corporate organisations and some of the UK's better-known businesspeople and their organisations.

Before establishing Rosenblatt Solicitors, Ian served as Partner at media and entertainment law firm, Sheridans having qualified through Collyer Bristow.

In 2000 Ian founded and sponsored Rosenblatt Recitals, the UK's only world-class series of classical vocal recitals. Over the next 18 years, he put on over 200 recitals for international... Ian's philanthropic efforts extend to his appointment as Trustee of the Gerald & Gail Ronson Family Foundation and he is a former trustee of Community Security Trust. He is a passionate supporter of the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity, Target Ovarian Cancer.

His continuous involvement in arts and culture is evident in his engagement as Trustee of the National Museums Liverpool. Ian was awarded an OBE in 2016 for philanthropic services to music.
