David Moross is Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of HighPost Capital, a private equity investment partnership that focuses on growth buyout and growth equity investments. With considerable experience as an investor in the consumer private equity industry, in 1998, David created a partnership with the late Mark McCormack of IMG, the world’s premier sports marketing & management company. Together they founded Sports Capital Partners, the first institutionally managed sports media and sports investment fund. David also created the private equity fund group, Falconhead Capital, which focused on similar areas of investing.
David is a Trustee of the Weizmann Institute of Science, a member of the Development Board of the University of Texas, a Trustee of the Silver Shield Foundation and on the board of Airhead Sports Group, LLC. He has also served as a Board Director of the NY Fund for Public Health, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and was a Vice Chairman of the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee.
Previously, David was Chairman of the Falconhead Charitable Foundation and on the boards of ESPN Classic Sports, Europe; Maritime Telecommunications Network, LLC; National Power Sport Auctions, LLC; NYDJ Apparel Company; ESCORT Holdings, LLC; Competitor Group, LLC; Bollé Inc.; Rita’s Italian Ices, LLC; GPSi Holdings, LLC & Multi-Flow Industries, LLC.
David earned a BA in Economics from the University of Texas, prior to starting his career with Whitehall Financial Group, where he rose to the position of Vice Chairman in 1993.
