Chris’ Biography

Chris Stadler is a Managing Partner at CVC, a leading player in the global private equity market. Based in New York City, he established and oversees the firm’s private equity interests in North America.

Led by its Managing Partners and majority owned by its employees, CVC is a prominent private equity and investment advisory firm that manages finances for investors across the globe. Its excellence is driven by expert teams with profound knowledge of the specialized corporate settings in which they operate. As head of CVC’s US office, Chris has played a key role in finding and executing major investments such as Pilot Flying J, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Petco, AlixPartners, Bruin Sports Capital, and Authentic Brands Group.

Prior to joining CVC in 2007, Chris worked for another leading private equity firm, Investcorp, as Head of Private Equity in North America after joining the firm as Managing Director in 1996. Chris Co-Chairs CVC's Europe/North America Private Equity Board and their ESG Committee. He currently also sits on the Boards of several prominent companies, including Authentic Brands Group, Petco, Asplundh, and Mediaocean. Previously, he served on the Boards of Univar, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Leslie’s Holdings, among others.

Outside of business, Chris is involved in various charitable organizations. He Co-Chairs the Board of Global Citizen, an advocacy group dedicated to alleviating poverty, and is former Chair and current Board member at Jumpstart, a US-based non-profit organization committed to supporting and promoting early learning for children from low-income families.

Chris holds a BA degree in Economics from Drew University, New Jersey, and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University. more less
