Arvid Trolle’s Biography

Arvid Trolle is the co-founder of Njord Partners, the special situations investment firm focused on opportunities in the Western European middle-market segment that typically require flexible and complex capital solutions and innovative deal structuring. As co-portfolio manager, Arvid identifies investment opportunities and takes an active role in driving value creation in partnerships with management teams and stakeholders. He has successfully invested in over 30 companies across diverse sectors, including industrials, infrastructure, technology, retail, and offshore energy services.

Arvid has significant experience of corporate turnarounds and has twice led investments that have won the prestigious International Turnaround of the Year award. He was a member of the board of DeepOcean which won the award in 2012 and responsible for the investment in Solidal Condutores Eléctricos, which was awarded the prize in 2020. Arvid was in charge of Njord’s investment into Geoquip Marine, where he currently serves on the board, which was nominated for the Turnaround Debt Provider of the Year... With over two decades of experience in finance and asset management, Arvid has worked at Oaktree Capital Management, Lazard, Broadview International, and Deutsche Bank. His experience encompasses credit and equity investments, strategic board leadership, turnarounds, and operational and financial restructuring across various European regions. Arvid has lived and worked in London, Stockholm, Madrid, and Brussels.
