Three schools in the Atlanta University Center will receive $90 million to create a diverse pipeline of financial services workers. Tony Ressler, executive chair of Ares Management, apparently came up with the idea and contacted other investment funds to partner with the colleges, according to the Wall Street Journal. "It is an important and replicable example of a joint venture between the private sector and higher education that addresses one of society’s obvious and compelling needs—greater inclusiveness through tangible programs that can be measured,” Ressler told Atlanta Business Chronicle.
