Born and raised in Miami Beach, John studied at the University of Florida and Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law before earning his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University. He clerked for the Hon. Blanche M. Manning in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, then practiced commercial litigation at McGuireWoods LLP in New York and Chicago. He went on to spend nearly two decades in private practice, advising companies and executives on corporate strategy while navigating boardrooms and courtrooms nationwide.

John’s view of healthcare changed profoundly after a misdiagnosed “cyst” was later confirmed as head and neck cancer. That experience became the catalyst for UPLIN’s founding vision: providing unparalleled access to physician-led care delivered directly to patients, whenever and wherever needed.

Since co-founding UPLIN, John has led the creation of a rapid-response, MD-only care model; launched what may be the only multi-level, multi-specialty concierge house call department in the world; forged strategic partnerships with corporations (employee benefits) and residential real estate developers (amenities); implemented a proprietary electronic medical records system to ensure continuity of care and communication; and built a platform that enables extraordinary physicians and ancillary providers to transition seamlessly into personalized concierge medicine, supported by elite operational systems.
