Liverpool-headquartered sportswear brand Castore has raised £1.2m from a group of private investors including retail magnate Tom Singh, founder of New Look, the high street clothing chain valued at £500m. Singh is one of the biggest names in the retail world and one of five investors backing the fast-growing premium sportswear company. The company was founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, both former professional athletes, in 2016 selling technically advanced sportswear including shorts, tops and jackets...

One of Wales’ leading technology firms, Veeqo, is creating nearly 170 new jobs over the next three years as its looks to rapidly expand its global client base...It comes after the company secured £1.2m in crowdfunding last December, following £2.5m raised on the Seedrs platform and from New Look founder Tom Singh. This funding has seen over 20 new staff come on board in the last 12 months, with a total of 168 more jobs due to be created over the next three years - which will take its head count to more than 220.
