Simon Brewer’s Biography

Simon Brewer is Co-Founder and Host of The Money Maze Podcast, and a Senior Advisor at Rothschild & Co. He is also a Director of Arolla Consulting Ltd, a company that provides consulting services to family offices and institutional investors.

Simon launched The Money Maze Podcast in 2020 with the aim of demystifying the world of finance through a series of informal and entertaining interviews. By encouraging industry leaders to tell their own stories, and reveal their different approaches to business and investing, MMP gives listeners – from investment professionals to students – insights to help them make better investment decisions.

MMP has also established an Ambassador programme to equip young people with the necessary skills to succeed in the financial sector.

Simon began his career in finance at Citibank Private Bank in 1985, before moving to Morgan Stanley where he was Chairman of the European Asset Allocation Committee and CIO of their European private wealth management business.

An industry veteran, Simon is a highly sought-after speaker and regularly invited to give his views on the world’s financial markets, and investment opportunities and risks. He has been a guest speaker at many leading UK universities including LSE, King’s College London, Imperial College London, Exeter and, later this year, at Oxford University’s Saïd Business school.

He is a Governor of Clifton College and Chairman of their Development Trust. Previously, Simon served as a trustee at Great Ormond Street Hospital for children.

Simon has a degree in Economic History from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE), and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD in France.
