Kate Briant’s Biography

Kate Briant is a Senior Partner of CapVest Partners LLP and one of its founding members. She also sits on the Investment Committee of the firm. CapVest is a leading international investment firm established in 1999 and headquartered in London.

Kate has transacted across Europe and the US and currently serves as a director of Curium (Chair), IPN and Polaris. She was previously a director of several portfolio companies including Valeo Foods, Mater Private Healthcare, Scandi Standard AB (Chair) and Vaasan Oy.

Between 1997 and 1999 Kate worked at Bankers Trust, first in the Project Finance Group and thereafter in the private equity unit, BT Capital Partners. From 1993 until 1996 Kate worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Deloitte & Touche in Johannesburg.

Kate graduated with a degree in Business, Commerce and Accounting (BCom), and a post graduate degree in Accounting (GdA) from the University of Cape Town. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.
