“We’re never going back to where we were,” Ronan Dunne, CEO of Verizon's consumer group, said during a virtual session of Fortune’s CEO Perspectives Series on Wednesday. “There is an opportunity to be thoughtful about which elements of the last 12-18 months … we want to introduce [permanently].”
“Reliable connectivity at home and on the go is more important than ever, as evidenced by its influence over what homebuyers look for in a home,” said Ronan Dunne, Verizon Consumer Group CEO. “In addition to our continued build of our 5G mobile network, our commitment to bring 5G Home Internet to 50 million households by 2025 delivers on the excitement Americans feel for the 5G future."
Ronan Dunne, EVP & CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, took part in the Keynote Interview, 'How 5G IS Revolutionizing Consumer Experiences', at the Fierce Wireless '5G Blitz Week' event. Dunne talked about Verizon’s roadmap for deploying C-band and addressed the company's goals for residential broadband, saying “We will have two discrete offerings for customers in the fixed wireless access space: 4G FWA and a 5G offering."
At the end of 2020, nearly 50 stadiums and arenas across the country were upgraded with Verizon's 5G technology, according to Ronan Dunne, executive vice president and CEO of Verizon Consumer Group. "We're now subject matter experts on this," Dunne told CBS News, predicting that 5G technology would transform the in-person experience at concerts, art galleries, and all types of sports facilities. "We now have an architecture that we can deliver to stadium partners."
