Nicholas J. Singer is Founder & Managing Member of Purchase Capital, an investment firm that serves as his family office. Purchase Capital provides patient capital for public and private companies with strong potential for long-term value creation. It also acts as a sponsor to institutional investors, foundations, and endowments.
Nicholas has over 20 years of investing experience in both public markets and private equity. With an analytical and entrepreneurial approach, he takes an active role in the portfolio companies of Purchase Capital as it invests across a variety of asset classes and industries. Purchase Capital’s primary holdings include OTR Acquisition, United Parks, IntegriCo Composites, and Brooklyn ImmunoTherapeutics.
He is CEO & Chairman of OTR Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: OTRA), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) focusing on business combinations, including M&A, stock purchase, capital stock exchange, and reorganization.
Nicholas is also the Founder & Executive Chairman of United Parks, an owner and operator of family entertainment properties across the United States, including historic Playland in Rye, New York.
He serves as Executive Chairman of IntegriCo Composites, an industrial products manufacturer that creates new products out of hard-to-recycle plastic. Nicholas is also a shareholder and former board member of Brooklyn ImmunoTherapeutics (NYSE: BTX), a biopharmaceutical company researching new cancer treatments.
Prior to his current roles, Nicholas was Co-Founder and Co-Managing Member of Standard General, an SEC-registered investment advisor that manages event-driven opportunity funds. He was also a Founding Partner of Cyrus Capital Partners, a Principal at Och-Ziff Capital Management (now Sculptor Capital), and an Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
Nicholas holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BAS in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
