Nabeel Bhanji’s Biography

Nabeel Bhanji joined Citadel in 2025 as Head of Strategic Equity Investments. In 2026, he was appointed Head of International Equities, following the merger of the two businesses. He also sits on Citadel’s Portfolio Committee.

Before joining Citadel, Nabeel spent over a decade at Elliott Investment Management where he was an Equity Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager and served on the firm’s Global Investment Committee. During his time at Elliott, he led public equity and event-driven investment strategies spanning multiple geographies and sectors.

Earlier in his career, Nabeel worked in UK Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs, before moving into private equity at Apax Partners.

Beyond his investment roles, Nabeel is a member of the Aga Khan Development Network’s Endowment Committee and has served as a Governor of Westminster School in London since 2022. He was previously a board director of Toshiba Corporation until the company was taken private in 2023.
