Konstantin Grigorishin’s Biography

Konstantin Grigorishin is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist whose thirty-year career spans energy, engineering, metals, technology, and sport.

Born in Zaporizhzhia, then part of Soviet Ukraine, Mr. Grigorishin developed an early interest in science and went on to study physics and mathematics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He began his professional career at the Institute of Spectroscopy of the USSR Academy of Sciences, earning a PhD for his research. His work on how light moves through chaotic systems helped shape the analytical mindset he later applied to transforming industries.

In 1992, Mr. Grigorishin founded his first company, Aragorn-Soft, marking his entry into the emerging, post-Soviet IT sector. This venture laid the groundwork for a diversified business portfolio built up over subsequent decades. Motivated by his passion for sport and guided by his extensive leadership experience, Mr. Grigorishin established Energy Standard Swim Club, marking the start of his mission to disrupt the world of competitive swimming. He went on to found International Swimming League (ISL), the world’s first professional league for competitive swimming. Designed to provide fair compensation, global visibility, and career stability for athletes, ISL introduced a team-based, international format that redefined the sport’s professional landscape.

Energy Standard Swimming Club marked Konstantin Grigorishin’s first major initiative in sport. Supported by Energy Standard Group, the club strengthened competitive swimming in Ukraine through athlete development, federation patronage, and new opportunities, including a dedicated prize fund for World Cup competitors.
