Julia’s Biography

Julia Charlton is the founder and a Principal Partner at Charltons Solicitors, Hong Kong, where she focusses on corporate finance, securities, virtual assets, funds, and mergers & acquisitions.

Fluent in Mandarin and English, Julia has extensive knowledge of financial markets in both Hong Kong and the PRC. She advises Charltons’ clients on the regulations of the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) and provides them with advice in the areas of investment, M&A, securities law, capital markets, and private equity.

After being admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1985, Julia was also admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 1987, in Ireland in 2006 and in BVI in 2013. She was also added to the Register of Legal Practitioners of Isle of Man in 2022 and admitted to Pitcairn Bar in 2023.
