Delia Bushell’s Biography

Delia Bushell is a distinguished leader with a career that spans more than two decades in media, sport and telecoms.

She is Partner at Silberhorn Media Capital, a strategic advisory firm to businesses and investors in the media, entertainment and sports sectors, and is an investor/advisor to start-ups.

She previously led The Jockey Club as Group CEO, overseeing events such as the Cheltenham festival and the Grand National, and served as UK CEO of Afiniti, a US tech leader in Artificial Intelligence.

At BT she held an industry-transforming leadership role as Managing Director of its media division, overseeing its £1 billion pa investment into the BT Sport channels, BT TV platform and digital apps to become a global innovation leader in live sport, and negotiating its major sports, entertainment and movie rights deals.

At Sky Italia in Milan, she was Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for all paytv and OTT subscriber revenue delivery for its €2.7bn turnover business.

Before her 14-year career at Sky, Delia was a Strategy Consultant at Arthur D. Little and worked in the Corporate Strategy team at Pearson plc, owner of the Financial Times & Pearson. She serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Commonwealth Games England and was previously on the Board of England and Wales Cricket and Advisory Board of the Telegraph Media Group.

Delia has been recognised for her contribution to the media and sports industry on numerous occasions. She was named one of ten Influencers of The Year by SportsPro in 2016 and was named one of Britain's 500 Most Influential People for her work as Managing Director at BT TV and BT Sport.
