Hamish Burt is Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of LG Capital Investors, the New York based family office of Lawrence Guffey, and a Partner of Twin Point Capital, the family office’s direct private equity arm, which manages capital for a select group of family offices and institutions. LG Capital was established in 2014 following Mr Guffey’s career at The Blackstone Group.
Mr Burt has primary responsibility for all investment and operational activities of the family office and serves on the Investment and Management Committees of Twin Point Capital, which primarily focuses on control investments in the media and communications sectors. Mr Burt currently serves on the boards of Artists Den Entertainment and the Guffey Family Foundation and previously served on the board of TPC Broadband Holdings d/b/a Blue Stream Fiber.
Previously, Mr Burt was a Partner at Promethean Investments, a European private equity firm and a director of The Lyle Anderson Companies, a real estate investment firm. Mr Burt began his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Gleacher Partners.
Mr Burt holds a Bachelor’s degree from Durham University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
