Hamish Burt is Co-Founder and President of LG Capital Investors, the single family office of Lawrence Guffey, and a Partner and a member of the Management and Investment Committees of Twin Point Capital, the firm's principal investment arm. LG Capital was established in 2014 following Mr Guffey's career at The Blackstone Group where he had senior responsibility for the firm's Media & Communications private equity practice.
As President of LG Capital, Mr Burt has primary responsibility for all investment and operating activities of the family office including the firm's portfolio management and strategy. Mr Burt currently serves on the boards of TPC Broadband Holdings, a Twin Point portfolio company, and the LG Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization.
Previously, Mr Burt was a Partner at Promethean Investments, a European private equity firm focused on special situation investments in the lower-mid market and a director of The Lyle Anderson Companies, a real estate investment firm. Mr Burt began his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Gleacher Partners in New York.
Mr Burt holds a Bachelors degree from Durham University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
