Darrell J. Mays is the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner of Mays//Mock Capital Partners. He is a highly respected investments and telecommunications executive and, through an expertise developed over more than three decades and including more than fifteen acquisitions, has emerged as a leading founder and investor in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry.

Mays//Mock Capital Partners is a middle market private equity firm focused on the TMT, Transportation and Energy sectors. The firm targets companies that serve large-SMB to enterprise customers that want an opportunity to work with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certified companies. Mays//Mock also plays an active role in corporate development, where its founders have long-standing relationships.

Darrell previously founded nsoro, LLC, a provider of turnkey telecommunications infrastructure services. He oversaw rapid growth as CEO, with revenues reaching approximately $70M in under five years. In 2005, Darrell founded the nsoro Foundation, which provides resources to young adults aged out of the foster care system to pursue a postsecondary education. To date, nsoro has raised more than $4.4M in scholarships for more than 400 students annually. In 2019, the foundation was named Foundation of the Year by Rising in Community Excellence (RICE), a group that honors individuals and organizations that work to improve lives of students throughout the entire United States.

The event was a celebration of 15 years of service and raising $1.3 million for aspiring collegians aging out of the foster care system. The distinguished guests were nsoro's twenty-nine college graduates from ten states across the country. Their presence provided up close insights on the value of nsoro's Scholarship and the critical wrap-around supports provided throughout their post-secondary journey.
