Alan McCormick’s Biography

Alan McCormick is a founding partner of Legatum, a global investment partnership with offices in London and Dubai. Legatum's mission is to allocate the capital and ideas required to help people prosper.

With a focus on both private and listed businesses, Legatum deploys its proprietary capital while actively seeking innovative ideas to empower and help individuals prosper. Since Legatum´s inception in 2006, Alan has been instrumental in designing and establishing the firm's extensive philanthropic investment portfolio. He also sits on the firm’s investment committee and was a driving force behind establishing and nurturing some of the world's most impactful philanthropic funds, including the END Fund (the largest privately funded initiative combatting Neglected Tropical Diseases), the Freedom Fund, and the Luminos Fund. Additionally, Alan has played a pivotal role in shaping the Legatum Institute and founding its renowned Legatum Prosperity Index. He holds key positions on the boards of a number of Legatum's key investments.
