Brett Tejpaul is the Head of Coinbase Institutional, a division of Coinbase that helps clients understand, develop and execute opportunities created by digital assets and Web3. He is a highly experienced leader and strategist with nearly three decades of experience in financial services, institutional sales and the cryptocurrency space and a deep expertise in developing and implementing digital strategies and advanced data and analytics platforms.

Coinbase is focused on the continued institutionalization of cryptocurrencies. Since its launch, Coinbase has expanded its institutional client base, built new features that serve institutional investors and developed in-depth industry research about cryptocurrencies as an asset class and its role within a diversified portfolio.

He is a leader in helping institutions build connections between Finance 1.0 and the crypto economy, and he guides the team that has emerged as a market leader in delivering cryptocurrency solutions to global financial services companies.

Prior to joining Coinbase, Brett held numerous roles at Barclays Investment Bank over a 16-year tenure, most recently as Head of Digital and Global Head of Sales. He is a pioneer in expanding the digital role across sales and trading, while also leading the creation of a digital bank prototype. Previously, he held a range of roles in credit, trading and sales at J.P. Morgan.

Brett also serves on the Advisory Board of Eightfold.ai, the first AI-driven Talent Intelligence Platform that transforms how companies hire, maintain and expand a diverse workforce.
