Anthony Wreford’s Biography

Anthony Wreford specialises in people businesses, either in a non executive or advisory capacity. His advisory board roles currently include Stonehage Fleming, Skybound Capital, FPE Capital and Portas Consulting (where he is Chair). He is also Non Executive Chairman of RE Capital and chairs a round table of the world’s leading asset managers.

In addition, Anthony takes on short term advisory projects for clients, for example those who are looking to sell their business in the future or have reached a critical stage in their development.

Anthony previously advised Aberdeen Standard Investments and was until recently Chairman of integrated marketing agency HeyHuman and market research company Hall & Partners.

For over 20 years Anthony worked for Omnicom, a global network of leading marketing communications companies. Initially, he was an advisor, then he became a Divisional CEO, and latterly Deputy Chairman of Omnicom Europe.

Away from work, Anthony’s main interest is sport, particularly golf and cricket. He was President of the MCC from 2018 to 2019, and Chairman of the... Rock & Roll and country music are other passions. He was on the board of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and is an investor in CountryLine, a country & western app launched in 2018.

Anthony’s charitable work includes acting as a trustee of the Patron’s Lunch for HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday and as trustee of The Lord’s Taverners. He is an occasional advisor to other charities including the British Heart Foundation.
