Anthony Williams is a member of Dentons' Corporate practice, based in the New York office. He focuses on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and financing for global clients. He also counsels domestic and multi-national corporations on securities law and corporate finance matters
In addition to his extensive transactional practice, Anthony acts as general counsel to family offices and private foundations and advises on their legal and business needs. The Legal 500 has recognized Anthony for his M&A experience.
Earlier in his career, Anthony was with Coudert Brothers LLP and founded their office in San Francisco. He was a Partner at Baker & McKenzie, DLA Piper and Co-Executive Partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge. Tony has deep international experience in financial management, investments, accounting and business development. He is a veteran of the United States Army.
With numerous other business interests, Anthony currently serves as Chairman of the International Foundation for Art Research, Anthony is a Director of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Vice Chairman of HELP USA and Director for many organisations including the Friends of the Heidelberg Center for American Studies.
Anthony received his JD from New York University, whilst serving as Managing Editor of the University’s Journal of International Law and his AB cum laude from Harvard University. He is admitted to the bars of New York, California and the United States Supreme Court.
