Aldo Garbagnati, an Italian national of noble origin raised in Switzerland, is the Founder and Chairman of the Emicapital group. Based in Dubai and London, Emicapital is a boutique consultancy serving corporations, HNWIs and their families interested in the Gulf region. Assistance services include assets structuring, relocation, succession planning, finance, banking, private equity investments and customised advisory.
Aldo has been a founder, investor and CEO of several Companies since 1990 and has a track record of successful projects in the industrial, financial and trading sectors. He has served several European families for over 25 years in their wealth protection, family structuring and business relocation projects.
A consultant to multiple Ministries in the UAE, Aldo is also an advisor to the ruling families of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and he cooperates with the UAE Embassy in London for FDI projects. He is also an Executive Director of the Private Office of HH Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum in Switzerland. In 2015, Aldo joined Global Partnership Family Offices, a Family business association in London, as Chairman of the Middle East office.
In 2014 Aldo founded the Emicapital Foundation in London, a UK registered Charity which supports art, education and cultural exchange between Europe and the Gulf states. In this domain, Aldo is a member of the BAFTA President Club, chaired by HRH Prince William and supports other charities such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Academy of Arts.
In 2019, within the non-profit envelope of the Foundation, Aldo and his team started POLYSEUM, a cultural project in the Fine Arts space connecting private Art collectors to educational events and exhibitions for children.
As a response to the Coronavirus pandemic, Aldo has set up Art4Life, an online charity auction of donated artworks. Proceeds will be donated to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
