Aldo’s Biography

Aldo Garbagnati is Founder and Chairman of the Emicapital group. Based in Dubai and London, Emicapital is a boutique consultancy serving corporations, HNWIs and their families interested in the Gulf region. Services include asset structuring, relocation, succession planning, finance, banking, private equity investments and customised advice.

An Italian national of noble origin, raised and educated in Switzerland, Aldo has founded, developed and managed several companies in the industrial, financial and trading sectors since 1990. As a private advisor, Aldo has served several prominent European families for over 25 years, for their wealth protection, family office structuring and private business efforts.

In 2015, Aldo joined Global Partnership Family Offices, a Family business association in London, as Chairman of the Middle East office.

A consultant to multiple Ministries in the UAE, Aldo is also an advisor to the ruling families of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and he cooperates with the UAE Embassy in London for FDI projects. In this domain, Aldo is a member of the BAFTA President’s Circle, chaired by HRH Prince William, and supports other charities such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Academy of Arts.

In recent years, Aldo’s philanthropic activity in Fine Arts has expanded beyond Europe and the Gulf, reaching the USA and Asia. The Emicapital Foundation has morphed into Polyseum, a large, non-profit project connecting private art collectors, artists and experts, with the aim of generating educational programs.
