Tim Parker’s Biography

Tim Parker is a successful British executive and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Samsonite International SA and HM Courts & Tribunals Service.

In his capacity as Chairman, Tim directs the Boards of several companies, ensuring they function in the best interest of their firms and that operations are managed efficiently.

He is also an Advisor at CVC Capital Partners, an investment advisory and private equity business, and at Monarch Capital Partners, a large-scale retail investor based in Europe.

Tim has held top leadership positions at numerous established companies throughout his career. He previously served as CEO at prominent luggage manufacturer and retailer Samsonite, as well as The AA, Kwik Fit, Clarks and Kenwood.

Most recently, Tim completed seven years as Chairman of the National Trust. During his tenure, the charity’s membership grew from 4.2 million to nearly 6 million at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, committing over £900 million to conservation projects.

Since 2009, he has owned and chaired British Pathé, a leading archive of newsreel footage that also includes culturally significant vintage documentaries and films.

Tim holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford, and a Master’s in Business Studies from London Business School.
