Rolly van Rappard’s Biography

Rolly van Rappard is a Co-Founder and Co-Chair of CVC, a prominent global private equity and investment advisory firm.

He joined CVC, then known as Citicorp Venture Capital London, in 1989 and was one of a handful of executives involved in its spin-off from Citi in 1993, overseeing the firm’s expansion from its early stages. CVC has since become one of the world’s leading private equity and investment advisory houses, with over €193bn in assets, €235bn of committed funds, and a multinational network of 29 offices.

With more than 30 years as a leader in the private equity industry, Rolly uses his business knowledge and leadership skills to benefit the Boards of several global companies. He has previously served as a Board Member for Formula 1, GEMS Education, Jensen-Group, Univar Solutions, Rémy Cointreau, among others. Prior to CVC, Rolly worked in corporate finance for Citigroup in Amsterdam and London.

Rolly holds an MA in Economics from Columbia University, and an LLM from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
