Robin Saunders is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Clearbrook Capital Partners, a private investment and advisory group regulated by the FCA. Clearbrook specialises in healthcare, financial services/asset management, business services and infrastructure sectors. Established in 2004, Clearbrook’s portfolio companies have managed in excess of €25 billion in assets.
Prior to founding Clearbrook, Robin was a leading corporate banker specialising in principal investing, securitisation, capital markets and corporate finance advisory. Throughout her career, Robin has overseen transactions and investments in 15 countries with a cumulative value in excess of €50 billion. From 1998 to 2004, she was Managing Director of the Principal Finance Group and the agency Asset Securitisation group at WestLB AG. Her WestLB transactions included the purchase, finance and refinancing of Formula One, Wembley Stadium, Odeon Cinemas, Telecom Italia, MidKent Water and Pubmaster among others. More recently, Robin has led buy and build strategies in elderly and complex care homes, petrol stations and SME finance. Robin is an active investor in technology driven start-ups (healthcare diagnostics, corporate SaaS solutions and financial services platforms).
Robin is a Visiting Fellow at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, a mentor at the Oxford Foundry, a Governor of the British Film Institute and an enthusiastic supporter of education and the arts, both in the UK and the USA.
