Robert Klein’s Biography

Robert Klein is President of RedBird Capital Partners, where he leads the firm’s business operations across Capital Partnerships, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. In this role, he drives the creation of new products and strategic partnerships to expand RedBird’s global footprint. Since joining in 2017, Robert has helped grow the Firm’s assets under management from $1 billion to more than $12 billion by broadening its product offerings across the company life cycle and capital structure, while also diversifying its investor base to include leading pension funds, endowments, insurers, asset managers, and family offices. He has built and scaled internal teams to strengthen and institutionalize RedBird’s operating infrastructure.

Robert serves on the boards of (and is actively involved with) several RedBird portfolio companies, including AC Milan, Fulwell Entertainment, Main Street Advisors, and Obra Capital. In these roles, he advises on product development, business strategy, and capital formation.

Prior to RedBird, Robert spent a decade at J.P. Morgan, most recently as Global Head of the Alternative Investments Group, overseeing a $80 billion platform spanning hedge funds, private equity/credit, and real estate. He served as President of J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management, a $13 billion hedge fund solutions business for institutional and retail clients worldwide. During his tenure, he held seats on key governance bodies, including the Private Bank’s Global Investment Review Committee, the Private Equity Portfolio Advisory Committee, the Commercial Real Estate Council, the Investment Management Americas Operating Committee, and the Private Bank Investment Team.

Deeply engaged in philanthropy, Robert is a member of the Cornell University Council, the Cornell ILR Advisory Council, and the University of Texas-McCombs Business of Sports Institute, and he serves on the boards of organizations dedicated to combating global hate. READ MORE VIEW LESS
