As one of the United Kingdom’s leading social care entrepreneurs and renowned sector experts, Ravi Bains is a shining example of how hard work and community values can lead to business success.
Having grown up in inner city Black Country, Ravi identified the failure of mainstream homecare providers to recognise and address the needs of BAME communities. This, and Ravi’s sense of community spirit, ‘seva,’ in Punjabi, inspired him to found domiciliary care provider Sevacare in 1998 following a career in the property sector. His goal was to fulfil the unmet care needs in his local community.
Now known as Grosvenor Health and Social Care and encompassing a number of brands, including Sevacare, the company quickly expanded from its humble beginnings in his parents’ garage to a mainstream homecare provider with offices throughout the Midlands. After tremendous hard work, investment, and growth, Ravi has overseen Grosvenor Health and Social Care‘s development into the leading health and social care provider it is today.
Driven by his sense of duty, and inspired by his family’s dedication to community activism, Ravi has always wanted to help others. It is this ethos that drives his commitment to care and his dedication to charitable work.
