Mohammed Zarroug is a private equity investor and venture capitalist. He is the Founder of Lumen Investments, which invests in both established and start-up businesses, and divides his time between London and Dubai.

He primarily backs disruptive businesses with strong, conscious brands that appeal to the modern consumer. He invests in those with strong management teams and a clear market proposition, blending their commercial success with environmental and social impact.

Mohammed has built a large portfolio of businesses across food and beverage, tech, consumer goods, art, and media. He is a member of the venture fund OMAKASE Investment Club, which has backed fast-growing businesses such as environmentally conscious coldtech firm Therma, natural food brand Pollen + Grace, and restaurant group Bancone.

Mohammed is Founder and Director of Unitas Client Advisory, which advises many of the world's largest transnational businesses, states, and high-net-worth individuals on regulatory compliance in the MENA region.

He previously founded a boutique advisory firm that advised companies in a range of sectors on their entry and growth in the Gulf region, and served as Chief Operating Officer at a leading Dubai-based investment company.

He began his career at Credit Suisse, where he gained worldwide experience working across a wide range of desks in London, Singapore, Zurich and Dubai. He worked in several teams while at Credit Suisse, including Asset Management, Foreign Exchange Advisory, and Private Banking.

In 2021, Mohammed launched the Lumen Foundation to support animal rights and homelessness causes. more less
