Mike’s Biography

Mike Acker is a highly accomplished asset management professional who is Head of Key Accounts at Pictet Asset Management (USA) Corp., a division of the Pictet Group.

Founded in Geneva in 1805, the Pictet Group is an investment-led company, offering asset management, wealth management and related services. Its purpose is to build responsible partnerships with its clients, colleagues, communities and the companies in which it invests in order to safeguard and transmit wealth, of all kinds, in the service of the real economy.

With his notable experience in engaging with top asset managers and distributors globally, Mike is tasked with increasing the firm's presence in the US domestic and offshore markets. He focuses on the promotion of the full spectrum of Pictet’s products and services to its US-based target market. Mike also serves as the US office's FINRA Supervising Principal.

Prior to joining Pictet, Mike led the offshore distribution group at AXA Investment Managers as National Accounts Manager. Prior to joining Pictet, Mike led the offshore distribution group at AXA Investment Managers as National Accounts Manager. Previously, he served as Director of Global Fund Solutions for Merrill Lynch for sixteen years, managing its offshore mutual fund UCITS platform for the firm’s advisors across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Mike also co-headed the firm’s Irish UCITS fund family, Merrill Lynch Global Selects plc (2003-2009), and the various Advisory programs offered to the firm’s clients. Prior, he was an Asset Management Associate at Morgan Stanley, and he started his career at Merrill Lynch in the asset management division.

Mike graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and received an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from La Salle University in Philadelphia. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses. more less
