Michael Marcotte, also known as Mike F. Marcotte, has served on the boards of some of the world's largest and most influential businesses, intra- and inter-governmental organizations, and charities.

Today, he splits his time between advising CEOs of multinational corporations, senior figures in international government, defence circles, and major players in the global financial ecosystem on technology and geopolitical threats around the globe – alongside managing his own private investment portfolio.

He is Chairman and Founder of artius.iD, the enterprise-grade cybersecurity and identity company which develops solutions for the world’s largest corporations. Mike is also Chairman of Artius Global Group, his privately held multinational investment vehicle, which holds stakes in diverse companies, including high-growth pre-IPO technology start-ups and established global businesses.

He previously served as Global CIO and Global CDO of the EchoStar family of companies. EchoStar is one of the world’s largest satellite communications and Internet services companies, operating a fleet of geostationary communications satellites globally. Its satellites were launched from spaceports around the world in partnership with government and private-sector partners, such as ESA, SpaceX, and Lockheed Martin.

He is co-founder of the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) and was Chairman of its Rapid Response Center. He has also served as a board member at the Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT).

He has held various positions across the corporate world, including at Bye Aerospace, a manufacturer of electric light aircraft and UAVs.

He is a supporter of youth empowerment charity Rite of Passage and More Too Life, a human trafficking prevention organization.
