Matt Hansen’s Biography

Matthew D. Hansen is CEO of Growers Edge. With over two decades of private equity experience, he has been responsible for investing over $3 billion of equity capital.

Matt Hansen was Managing Partner of Financial Services Capital Partners LLP (FSC), the private equity investment firm he founded in 2019. FSC specialises in investments in financial services companies across Europe and sits at the crossroads of financial service investing and technology-enabled value creation in the sector.

Prior to FSC, Matthew co-founded the European arm of a well-respected global private equity firm, also focused on investments in financial services firms. Matthew quickly established a positive reputation and significant presence for the company. During his tenure he sourced and executed half of the deals achieved globally.

He began his career in investment banking at Bear Stearns in New York.

Matthew has significant experience as a board director and sits on the boards of Nymbus and Unión Financiera Asturiana (UFASA). He has previously served on the boards of Panmure Gordon, Praxia Bank, Illimity Bank and France’s largest independent investment bank, Kepler Cheuvreux.

His charitable activities include support of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of the Chelsea Pensioners. He is also President of the University of Texas UK alumni association.

Matt holds MBAs from both Columbia and London Business Schools and is a former student at the Faculty of Business & Economics, University of Melbourne in Australia. He also holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. READ MORE VIEW LESS
