Kevin Brown’s Biography

Kevin Brown, Dell Technologies’ Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Chief Supply Chain Officer, brings decades of experience in operations, technology and procurement, focused on efficiency, cost reduction and innovation. 

At Dell, Kevin leads a global supply chain organization spanning 180 countries and 25 manufacturing sites. Under his leadership, Dell has been recognized for having one of the most efficient, sustainable and innovative supply chains across the industry. During his career at Dell, Kevin served as Chief Procurement Officer and played a pivotal role in establishing manufacturing operations in both the U.S. and Asia. He also led the integration of EMC’s operations during the Dell-EMC merger, achieving $1 billion in savings. 

Kevin has spearheaded initiatives advancing sustainability and circular economy practices, such as Dell’s closed-loop plastics program and the NextWave ocean-bound plastics recycling initiative. Currently, he is leading the modernization of Dell's supply chain by integrating artificial intelligence (AI), leveraging AI-driven analytics and machine learning to improve forecasting, optimize operations and drive greater efficiency.

Before joining Dell, Kevin spent 10 years at Newport News Shipbuilding, where he held leadership roles in reactor plant engineering, construction management and facilities. 

Kevin serves on the Board of Directors for The Kroger Co., the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Howard University Center for Supply Chain Excellence. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at The George Washington University and the Hotchkiss School and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. 

Kevin holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in engineering management from The George Washington University. He is the 2024 recipient of the George Washington University Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
