Masimo Opioid Halo is an opioid overdose alert system that’s designed to prevent accidental overdoses. The device is the first of its kind to receive FDA approval. The opioid overdose alert system monitors for signs of an overdose including respiratory depression and alerts the wearer and caregivers. The device also sends automatic emergency alerts to EMT services in case medical intervention is needed.
