The firm, headed by James Dondero, aims to construct up to 775 residential units and a hotel at 5400 Legacy Drive. This is part of an ambitious plan to convert the 91-acre office campus into a 200-acre life sciences campus worth $3 billion.
The 200-acre project could eventually offer over 4 million square feet of lab, office, and therapeutic production space and "establish North Texas as a leader in life sciences," according to NexPoint Founder James Dondero.
In a statement Thursday, NexPoint said it would advise a new real estate investment trust that aims to purchase, build and manage single-family rentals.
