Israel Englander’s Biography

Israel Englander is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Millennium, the firm he founded in 1989 on the belief that innovation and results come from empowering talented, entrepreneurially minded individuals.

Izzy started Millennium with $35 million. Today, the firm is one of the largest investment management firms with $67.7 billion in AUM, 300+ investment teams and 5,600+ employees.

Millennium is dedicated to the responsible stewardship of capital, and seeks to pursue a diverse array of investment strategies across industry sectors, asset classes, and geographies. The firm’s four primary strategies are RV Fundamental Equity, Equities Arbitrage, Fixed Income Strategies and Quantitative Strategies.

Prior to starting Millennium, Izzy was a floor broker, trader, and specialist on the American Stock Exchange and owned a specialist operation. He served as Chairman of the Specialist Association and has been on numerous American Stock Exchange committees, including Allocations, Allocation Procedures, Emerging Company Marketplace, Options, and Special Allocations.
