Biography

Mr Fady Jameel is Deputy President and Vice Chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel Group, which is comprised of diversified businesses, representing some of the world’s leading brands, with deep roots in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. From modest beginnings 70 years ago as a small trading business and then a Toyota distributorship in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Abdul Latif Jameel Group have established an extensive operations infrastructure, built the largest vehicle distribution network in Saudi Arabia, and have accumulated comprehensive automotive expertise throughout the region.

Mr Jameel is also President of Art Jameel, an organisation that supports artists and creative communities, whose current initiatives include running restoration programmes, heritage arts schools and a broad range of arts and educational initiatives. Art Jameel partner with major institutions including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.

After graduating with a BA in Political Science from Sophia University, Tokyo, Mr Jameel started his career with Abdul Latif Jameel Group, where he held a number of senior positions in vehicle sales, marketing and investment management.
