Doug McMahon is Senior Managing Director at Tavistock Group, an international private investment organization, where he focuses on luxury real estate and consumer-facing businesses. He is also Senior Managing Director of one of Tavistock Group's largest portfolio investments – NEXUS Luxury Collection.
Doug was part of the original team that designed and built Albany in the Bahamas, considered one of the most successful luxury resort developments in the Caribbean. He has been instrumental in the creation and revitalization of some of Tavistock Group's signature properties, including the award-winning ATLAS Buckhead restaurant in Atlanta. He also led the turnaround of the St. Regis Atlanta Hotel & Residences, considered the crown jewel of luxury hotels in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood. Doug is also responsible for Isleworth Golf & Country Club, 600-acre golf club community, and Isleworth Realty in Windermere, Florida.
Currently with NEXUS, Doug opened NEXUS Club New York, their first urban club, in May 2019 where Tribeca meets the Financial District in Manhattan, and has recently opened the first NEXUS Sky Lounge at Teterboro South, a joint venture with Signature Flight Support.
With over 16 years of experience with the private investment group, Doug played an integral role in the creation and operations of the Tavistock Cup matches from 2004 to 2014. Prior to joining Tavistock, Doug was Chairman and CEO of Publicis and Executive Vice President and General Manager of J. Walter Thompson New York. He was also Chief Marketing Officer at NBC/Universal's CNBC unit.
Doug has been a Non-Executive Director of Mitchells & Butlers plc, the UK's largest pub and restaurant group (2010-2015). He is currently on the boards of Lake Nona Impact Forum, US Assure, and Buckhead Coalition.
