After a quarter century in wealth management, Bruce left to pursue his dream of teaching at university. Rather than teaching finance, however, he returned to school to study philosophy, and later became a member of the philosophy departments of Boston College, Suffolk University and Northeastern University where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in ancient philosophy, political philosophy, ethics and leadership.

Bruce has served on the boards of numerous arts organizations including Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston and Miami’s Nu-Deco Ensemble. He has also served on the advisory boards of several early-stage for-profit businesses including Fabalish and Digital Guardian.
