Alana Stott has held many roles in her life. She has founded charities and devoted her time to numerous groups as a fundraiser. She is a mentor and public speaker. With nearly 20 years in business, she is a property developer and a security specialist, leading intelligence-led security company Stott Consultancy, Inc. (SCI), along with her husband Dean Stott.
SCI is a provider of physical and data security services and training. It provides safe, discreet and effective solutions to businesses in all aspects of cyber, physical, risk and safety threats to the company and company personnel. The security industry is not new to Alana, who has experience as a personal close protection officer and was one of the first ever female ship security officers combating piracy in hostile areas, such as the Gulf of Aden.
As Security Director, Alana develops and maintains relationships with NGOs, international and local governments and other agencies, helps organizations build new security capabilities to meet existing threats and designs high-end security services in overt and covert surveillance. She also provides strategic risk mitigation planning for multinationals and multi-agency environments and is a skilled negotiator with a record of building long-term partnerships.
A dedicated philanthropist, Alana is Co-Founder & Head of Philanthropy for Mission Wonder Women Foundation, which raises awareness and supports causes related to the improvement and success of women and children globally. In 2018, she founded a UK charity, Breaking Chains, raising $1.2 million for mental health and human trafficking charities. Alana is also an Honorary Member of the Special Boat Service Association.
During the Covid pandemic, she provided 50 care packages for domestic violence victims and raised thousands for abuse, domestic violence and food bank organizations. Alana also provided funding in 2020 to rebuild a water well hit by lightning at an orphanage in Lesotho, South Africa.
