Previously Chief of Staff to proprietor of the London Evening Standard and The Independent new titles, Evgeny Lebedev, Stuart was also director of his Private Office and responsible for strategic development and execution of all his activities. Here he managed more than 30 geographically dispersed staff and delivered substantial operational savings in year one.
Stuart has more than 14 years of experience in production, broadcast and communications at the BBC and, latterly, at BBC Worldwide. Here his work spanned all channels, genres, superbrands, B2B and B2C communications across the CEMA regions. In the UK he headed press teams for some of the BBC’s biggest properties including Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice (UK acquisition and launch) and Children in Need. He has created strategic events, led teams, delivered brand communications strategies and managed the corporate profile of BBC Worldwide Executive Vice President through a period of corporate restructure.
Educated near Melbourne, Australia, Stuart moved to London where he began his career in production. He was General Manager for international touring productions including Matthew Bourne’s Play Without Words, Susan Hill’s The Woman in Black and the Royal National Theatre’s production of An Inspector Calls.
