Sneh’s Biography

Professor Sneh Khemka is the former CEO of Simplyhealth, a pioneer in the UK healthcare industry that provides its clients with solutions to fund expert treatment and care. He also runs a £60M venture capital fund that invests in health technology.

A respected leader in the healthcare sector, Sneh has worked in the industry for more than 25 years and has a mix of clinical and business experience. He trained and practised as a general and cancer surgeon in the NHS before starting and selling his own successful business.

Prior to Simplyhealth, Sneh was International Head of Population Health at US healthcare giant Aetna, where he assisted in the establishment of health service businesses in Dubai, India, Thailand, South Korea, and Qatar.

Sneh entered the business side of the sector in 2006, joining health insurance group Bupa. He held various roles at the company, ultimately becoming Director of Development in 2012 before joining Aetna the following year. An authority on both medicine and business, Sneh sits on the Boards of several companies and is an Advisor to two private equity companies in the UK. He is also a Senior Advisor at Adoreum Partners – a global network and members club for business leaders, philanthropists, ultra-high net worth individuals, and investors – and a Specialist Advisor to the World Economic Forum’s healthcare division.

Sneh holds an MBChB in Medicine from The University of Edinburgh, and later earned an MRCOphth at The Royal College of Ophthalmologists. In addition, he has an Honorary Degree in Public Health from the University of Warwick / Faculty of Public Health; and was appointed as an Honorary Professor of Practice by the University of Wales Trinity St David.
