Sam made the FedExCup Playoffs for the third season in a row in 2021 and proceeded to play in the TOUR Championship for the first time, ending the season in the FedExCup standings at 18th.
The 2020 season was a successful one for Sam too, featuring five top-25s. His best finishes came at The American Express (T6), where he also recorded his career-low round of 63, the Wyndham Championship (T13), and the Workday Charity Open (T17). He ended in 111th place in the 2020 FedExCup.
During his first season on the PGA Tour, Sam carded his first top-5 finish with a T3 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, carding 15-under. His first professional victory came in the 2018 Savannah Golf Championships on the Korn Ferry Tour - only his fifth start of his rookie season.
